Does anyone have any information if we can swap the LSD differential part from the type s into our tranny for the accord? I was thinking of getting a lsd conversion kit for my car. J35A8 was the Type S engine and the 9th gen accord engine code is J35 leading me to suspect the transmission would be a swapover as well. Tranny notes I have put together: 1) 01-06 accord euro-r and 05-06 rsx-s have same tranny. 2) 01-06 itr has the same 1-3 gear ratios as the 02-06 rsx-s, euro-r, and 06 si but has different 4-6 gear ratios. 3) K20A2, K20A euro-r, K20Z1 all have the same 1-6 gear ratios. 4) all 6-speed tranny’s except 02-04 rsx-s & 06+ CTR, have the same 4.764 FD. 5) 06 si and 04

Even the type R engine has different modifications and engine mapping etc from the 2.0 even though its basically the same engine. There’s reasons for everything, but swapping a 1.5 into what you mentioned doesn’t make sense at all. In my case I’m using the gears from a Euro R Accord 6-speed tranny and putting them into a Base RSX 5-speed tranny casing. For those of you that don’t know the Euro R Accord tranny is a 6-speed with LSD, which is pretty similar to the Type R tranny. Here is a side by side pic of the two trannies. I dont really want to get into the tranny and change up the gearing the most I would do is throw in a LSD. I would like to just pick a K series tranny out there perferably one with a LSD and just bolt up and be done with it.
