It could’ve been a masterpiece but after the spear hero arrived, the manhwa went to trash. The first chapter or so is the only good thing about the manhwa. The Returned (TV Series 2015-2015) — The Movie Database (TMDB)

Despite some pitfalls, The Return succeeds in its reinterpretation. In addition to exploring Odysseus’ trauma and guilt, Pasolini effectively paints a picture of how war affects home. Ralph Fiennes’s understated performance and ripped physique grounds The Return, Uberto Pasolini’s stripped-down retelling of The Odyssey. The Returned’s first series concludes with a slow, emotional episode that leaves a number of mysteries unsolved What if what we valorize has been wrong all along? The Return examines Odysseus’s last act Ralph Fiennes plays the hero as a warrior shamed by his deeds and suffering from PTSD. The Returned felt too similar in tone to The Leftovers and felt like a diminished replica of the original.
