Which brings me to the motion picture The Razor’s Edge (1946). There are moments in life in which I feel are truly destiny (aka density if ya know, ya know). An occasion that can only be described as fate. This is exactly my feeling about having this specific film come into life at this specific time.
In India, the holy man tells Larry that the road to salvation is as the sharp a RAZOR’S EDGE. In Chicago, Sophie looses her husband and baby in a terrible car accident, leaving Sophie grief stricken . Larry finished with his studies, travels to the top of the mountain. Some time later, the holy man comes to visit.

The Razor’s Edge premiered at the Roxy Theatre in New York City on November 19, 1946, coinciding with Tierney and Clifton Webb’s birthdays. There was a party at the Plaza Hotel after the screening to celebrate both birthdays and the enthusiastic reception that the film got after the premiere. In India, the holy man counsels Larry that the road to salvation is as difficult to pass over as the sharp edge of a razor. In Chicago, meanwhile, Sophie’s husband and baby perish in a car wreck, leaving Sophie bereft and hysterical.
