The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run

Skipton Craven Rotary Club Members organise the Santa Fun Run. Here is a Rotary Member who you all will recognise. Colonel Sanders was a Rotary Member in a Club in (of course) Kentucky !! . Here he Here is Kildwick Church with 1600 poppies on it to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of First World War. The Skipton Lights Switch on has won a brilliant award. The Santa Run forms the start of the whole day.

The first Skipton Santa Fun Run took place in 2010, comprising a 5 kilometre route around Skipton, starting and finishing at Aireville Park. 400 runners, joggers and walkers young and old took part in the inaugural event, to raise money for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, Martin House Hospice and other local charities. Last year, the 14th Great Skipton

The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run is returning in November. The 15th Great Skipton Santa Fun Run will take place on 24th November. Since starting in 2010, the Santa Fun Run has been raising money Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, Martin House Hospice, and other local charities. They have raised a total of £500,000 in the last 14 years.
