Humanity in Stars in Shadow is meant to be the „hardmode“ playable faction, who have a more challenging start than the other factions, reflective of the in-game lore. They do have some advantages which are only partially implemented in the current game build.

Stars in Shadow: Legacies on Steam

Something about social but i cant find it now. I see I can make tanks to keep them from rebelling. Maybe my race cant make happy buildings?

How do they work, and how do I set them up in star systems where I don’t have any colonies? What are the pros and cons (as well as the playstyle) of each playable faction? I ask because it can help me come up with ideas for suggestions on new playable factions.

Stars In Shadow vs Interstellar Space: Genesis How is this game compared to Interstellar Space: Genesis? What are the significant differences and which game would you recommend? Thanks. Has someone created a tech tree guide? I’m slowly learning what techs lead to important techs and writing it down. Any suggestions? Please take a note that I’m comparing weapons placed on human light cruisers and will do so both for basic weapons and with all mods except Armor Piercing (if you plan to use it – it just will raise all your cost linearly). I hope I will tomorrow update it to include Heavy weapons too. I will use term „DpS“ = Damage per Salvo for 1 gun, taken as median between min and

OK I am apparently still not actually sending any colonists to my new colonies. I click on the planet button that says move colonists, I choose 1 or 2 colonists, the click move. I get a green dotted line. I put my cursor on the destination and I have tried right clicking and left clicking but it doesn’t seem to take in either case. Yeah, I am 75 now so use small words to

This guide gives you information about all the ships and orbital structures that you can build in the game Stars in Shadows. There is a section After that, start adding the good ones back one at a time to see if there is a dependent or additional crash problem with a mod. What do I build or do to make my colonists happy again.

This is my understanding of how terraforming works. These general rules has become evident after playing the game for a while. There are in total 6 technologies that enable terraforming and their general behavior will be specified in the rules below. 1. A world has a set of possible terraforming options that does not depend on the race(s) living there. 2. Cold worlds Does anyone know of any easy cheats in the game? I am not a programmer, I know nothing about opening ‚modding‘ files and changing or writing code, which is all that was talked about in the ‚modding‘ section on their website. Does anyone know of any easy, in-game cheats to give yourself more money or more metals or absolutely anything like that to make the

Can someone explain Greamk slavery to me? Unlike some other 4x’s slavemaster, this one is very clunky. Once you enslaved them, slaves will work even when unhappy? Also is there a plan to make native races abled to be enslaved in the future? So I understand that a ship can only travel so far from its nearest colony or outpost. However, I made an alliance with another race which appeared to allow me to add their colony/outpost to my „range network“ However, there were still some planets that they were able to reach that I could not, even with my scout ships. So I am guessing that there is way to

I have played a lot of master of orion 1 and 2, but that’s it. I have also played a lot of civilization series so I’m familiar with tech trees. I played my first game about 3 hours, on easy and it was super easy, but I don’t know how all the weapons work. Do some do better vs armor/shields or how do you tell a weapons range etc? Like in moo2 how plasma cannons hit

That’s all. Or at least that’s all I’ve ever been able to do with them. One thing they tend to be useful for is establishing a beachhead in distant parts of the galaxy via open port agreement. Send a large fleet to an unclaimed anomaly near your partner’s border with some outpost & colony ships. Clear the anomaly, plop down an

Is there any techs that would make boarding easier? Such as hijack ships with minimal casualty, I am thinking power armor but not sure if it does anything. So I noticed there is no configuration options for victory conditions so I checked the achievements and found that there were three. Are there any plans for more (plus the ability to turn on and off)? I’d like to see an ascendency or research condition added along with an expanded and rebalanced tech tree to make it all possible. There is currently only the conquest victory, but we are adding alliances and a „galactic council“ type victory condition. We would also like to add „campaign“ style victory conditions, where the player completes a specific set of objectives, but these may not make it in for the initial release.

Do the Arda Seed qualify as „gods“ or beings similar to spirits and divine beings? Or are they just people like the major races of the game (except the Tinkers, of course)? Also, what is hyperspace, exactly?

Introduce an anti-fighter interceptor tech, specialist dog fighters which are not good against ships but deadly against small craft, other fighters and bombers. So there is no need to nerv the carriers. So an empire which invests in this tech can have interceptor screens the protect the captial ships.
