Should Atheists Criticize Religious People?

Everytime I criticize Islam either in public or in private people say I’m disrespectful and proceed to start attacking me personally even though I haven’t done anything wrong sometimes even physically attacking me. And when I provide solid evidence they say things like „Allah says so“ „Men are naturally perverted“ „you are misunderstanding the verse (not giving an explanation I see a lot of atheists criticize religious people for cherry picking out of their religions but I’m actually pretty grateful that they do. I doubt most atheists are afraid to criticize Islam, but Christianity is the religion that has the biggest impact on our daily lives in the west, so it tends to be more of the focus.
For world wide eradication of religion, people should be educated in science fields, should provide alternate solution to existential crisis and should provide „manual“ about how to reason. If religious people allow atheists to go unchallenged, the whole mechanism of organized religion starts to dissolve. Attending group worship and having a shared dogma become unnecessary.

Common statements that internet atheists should stop saying! If only to be a more rational human being these atheist slogans should be set aside. It is my hope that the many atheists I know and Also consider that the Bible advocates for slavery, child abuse, murdering children, murdering gay people, making rape victims marry their rapist, etc. Consider that religious institutions continuously get exposed for sex crimes against children. Consider that religious countries are horribly oppressive to minority groups. And the extremists of the religion all have a violent expansionist vision that’s existed since it’s inception. My question is why don’t atheists nearly criticize Islam as much as Christianity from where as far as I can tell if you don’t abide by Christianity you’re rather ineffected by it?
OH YES, there are religious people who for some visceral reason LOVE to prove atheists wrong so they can „SAVE“ and „GUIDE“ them. They are the spiritual immature who REFUSE to realize that others have their own respective beliefs.
