Setting up lots of regular savings accounts such as Halifax Regular Saver at 5% for 12 months, and with Barclays 4.35% or something, or start putting the full 1200 into a normal I’ve been regularly saving with Halifax for 8 months (1st month £250 and susequent 7 months £50) Rate 4.9 %. However notice that new regular saver is 7%. My regular saver will shortly be maturing and Halifax will be sweeping the money into another account of my choosing. If, as you say, you can’t be bothered then the overheads involved with setting up and funding these regular savers probably means they are not for you. Others clearly differ. I recently set up one of these regular savings accounts (within the past two weeks). They actually automatically set up a SO from my Halifax current account when I asked them to.
