After lots of troubleshooting I seem to have fixed the frame-rate stutter I’ve been noticing on my PC. Before trying the steps outlined in the article below, I had tried multiple solutions including putting all display setting to low but no luck. It seems the Fixes 4-7 helped solve my issue! I have been able to play on max settings even with Ray Tracing enabled. This is Resident Evil HD Remaster. I have a 4K monitor. The highest resolution setting in the game is 2560×1600, so I’m using that. When I’m in full screen, I get black bars around the entire game. black bars problem i have Monitor 1680×1050 I have black edges on the top and the bottom and I have tried and tried all the solutions, but it doesn’t work, knowing that the graphics card is updated and the game is updated ??? help me plssss There is a fix as I said, but if I use it the game will crash at some cutscenes, no idea why honestly. There use to be a very effective Hex editing method that worked out flawlessly, but no one seems to care much about it anymore, imo
Mouse Cursor Hello first time playing this game. Is there any idea how to fix mouse cursor appears when i move over the black bars? The problem is when I’m playing the game, the mouse cursor appears in the letterbox It’s so annoying and opening things from overlay. This didn’t happen in previous games ( RE2,RE3,RE7).

And my thought still stands: If Resident Evil Remaster on PS4 runs 1080p WITHOUT letterboxing/borders – then why are they present in the PC version at the same 1080p? Both the PS4 and PC version are internally rendered at the same resolution as far as I’m aware, and also Resident Evil Zero (PC) doesnt have them and it’s rendered the same. That might fix it. Otherwise you’re stuck with choosing a different resolution like 1280×720. Other people have kludged it by setting their cursor graphic to a black square so it stays more invisible at the top and bottom. I am using keyboard + mouse controls for Resident Evil Village (in handheld). When i use the right trackpad for aiming, it works properly and expected, however, if i aim up/down far enough the cursor shows outside the 16:9 ratio in the black bars. TLDR: i) Uninstall ASUS Armory Crate using the ArmoryCrateUninstall tool from Asus. ii) uninstall Realtek software from the PC, iii) check that the nahimicService no longer runs on the PC. Anyone else seeing the cursor in these black bars on top n bottom? i have a 1920×1200 res so the game won’t fit. It’s really annoying af As the title says, my mouse cursor appears constantly over my cross hair in game. It is so frustrating, I’m not even sure I will finish the game. I have a 2080ti and am playing at 2560 x 1440, Win10. I have tried every fix I can find online, though I haven’t seen much posted about this. I am running as admin, I have disabled full screen optimizations, I have mouse lock on. Literally Resident Evil Village on PC shows a visible mouse cursor, that moves around while your move the player’s camera, when certain resolutions are selected, such as ultrawide resolutions or lower 5:4 resolutions, such as my monitor’s 1280×1024. It is a very annoying and pressing issue, that is quite distracting and detrimental to the games playability.
Games are most enjoyable when you play them in full-screen mode. But, sometimes you may have noticed black bars appearing on the top and bottom parts of the game screen. The game looks much better with black bars and zooming removed and reducing the vignette. I don’t know why Capcom didn’t fix these things themselves when it could be easily fixed. The dark bars are an inconsistency in the game’s resolution. If you set the resolution in Resident Evil Village to 1920×1080, the dark bars disappear and you can continue playing comfortably. Hey guys I’ve just started RE Village on PC using a 16:10 monitor running 2560×1600 resolution. With this setting the screen has black bars on the top and bottom and when my mouse cursor/pointing/aiming goes too far up or down, the white mouse arrow shows up in The game starts up fine but the Windows 10 title bar appears at the top of the game window. It has a minimize button and the maximize button is greyed out so I can’t enable fullscreen! Any way to fix this problem? I have to wonder if it’s a graphics setting or two, mouse polling rate, or whatever, that might be exacerbating what appears to be poorly optimized mouse aim support in this game. I ask this because despite many saying they have the same problem, one person recently, whom says he is very sensitive to such things, doesn’t have a problem with it at all in this game.
