Remove Valor Rank From Crafted Battlemaster Gear

What is the deal? I have a lvl 60 valor, I have 3200 ranked war zone comms and a crafted Battlemaster Force Master Vestment. I go to the vendor to purchase my War Hero Force Master Vestment and I am told I can not afford the item. I have the chest piece in my inventory and I have 3275 ranked war Getting valor rank 60 and actually pulling BM tokens from bags are not the same thing. I know people in my guild who got valor rank 60 and proceeded to open 30 bags over the course of a few weeks without a single token drop. So no, gearing up via BM will not be trivial just because valor gains are increased. PvE gear progression will still be the same as it is now: run

You do realize you have to have valor rank 70 before you can purchase any WH gear even the weapon? And to boot you can’t earn ranks past your current level so once you hit 50 if you level pvp ranks at the same pace as your level you still have 20 ranks left to earn.

Anyway, I went to buy a battlemaster item today and saw that I had to be level 50 just to buy it. I figured I may as well start stocking up on ranked warzone commendations as my only resourceful alternative, but alas you need have valor rank 40 to purchase ranked warzone commendations. Yes. My Armormech can make Battlemaster shells, and I’m having to wait until I can get my Agents to Valor rank 60, just to put their crafted BM sets in the Outfit Designer. One thing to be aware of for Battlemaster gear is that it has a Valor requirement to use it (I believe 60), so even if you get the set you need to make sure you’ve PvP’d a lot to get to the proper Valor amount (You can see where you’re at by opening the activity finder and clicking PvP). Valor 60 is generally around 140-180 matches.

You can’t buy the battlemaster piece until valor rank 60 and it is a pretty long grind. Just buy the champion bags for now least you can use it as a fresh 50. Go to topic listing I got to valor 99 in 2012 and never finished it since I dont play pvp or that character anymore. hehe but the real achievement back then was valor 60, Battlemaster, cuz you would get best pvp gear set for it and special speeder. I was 3rd on my server to get it and it caught many eyes around the fleet back then. I think that the GSF should give out valor you cant get valor for open world PVP anymore and i just hate doing warzones but i love doing the GSF and i realy want to be able to wear the battlemaster gear but it requires a valor rank of 60 to ware it and GSF is a form of PVP.

So I guess additional rewards based on the valor rank are a viable alternative to the armor sets and would create some incentive to increase your valor rank – though I doubt it would be as much as for some nice or epic looking armor sets. BM schematics were purchasable from the pvp vendors that sold the BM gear, but were removed when the patch that introduced the cartel market to the game went live.
