I have never been as conscious of my parabatai rune as I did at that moment. It suddenly felt like I can finally breathe. A piece that was missing was back and it didn’t take long for us to pull the other into a hug. It was kind of awkward after so much time but it was also something we needed in a way. Something to make sure that this is real.

A/N: So, I didn’t intend to write this one right away. But, the idea wouldn’t leave me alone so I decided to sit down and actually write. I just finished TMI and I really love the story! Magnus and Alec are my favorite couple, but I wanted to write this Jace/Alec one first. This takes places after City of Glass. The book tells us that Jace and Alec are parabatai, but what does it mean? Follow them growing up and explore how this bond affects their lifes. Each chapter will contain two or three short stories.

Robert Lightwood was apparently hiss father’s parabatai, though he had never heard his name before, and Robert was a large man. His wife, Maryse, was tall and stern looking too, but she had hugged him and said that she would try and find Alexander and Isabelle, her two eldest children, for him to meet.

I never knew that Robert had a parabatai, actually. And Jace’s fake-father no less! Anyways, what do you want to see more of? I plan to continue all the way up until Maryse finds that angel’s body at the end of CoFA. So yeah I guess that’s all! The next chapter is probably going to be Jocelyn’s POV, but I might continue with Maryse’s. She’s alone, but she acts like she needs no one and after a while people stop questioning why. In which everyone has a best friend but Isabelle Lightwood and no one seems notice.
