Photosynthetic complex I enables cyclic electron flow around photosystem I, a regulatory mechanism for photosynthetic energy conversion. We report a 3.3-angstrom-resolution cryo-electron microscopy structure of photosynthetic complex I from the cyanobacterium Thermosynechococcus elongatus.
