When recording a channel it won’t show any other channels, only the one it is recording. All other channels come up as „no or bad signal“. Anyone know why?

Hi there, A week ago the Humax restarted itself and wiped all my recordings. When checking the storage, the drive was saying it was 97% full, all down to System Usage. Has anybody experienced this as well ? Did you find a solution ? I’ve rebooted several times but the result is the same. I have recently bought 3 Humax 4000T to use between my home and static caravan. However, I was wondering whether or not I will lose all the recordings I have made from the HDD if I leave the machines unplugged for any length of time. Humax Freesat HDR 1010S Over 90% of my recording space was full of recordings I was keeping to watch when I choose. Turned it on this evening to watch a recording – everything is gone!!! Turned it off – plugs out – turned back on and still nothing. This is the first issue I’ve had with it since buying in 2010. Any ideas?

A friend’s HDR1100S has suddenly lost its connection to the 500GB HDD – probably the standard CPU melting off the motherboard – for which the temporary „cure“ might be attacking it with a hot air gun. I’m not keen on trying this straight away, as it can kill the device. The HDD checks out fine under Linux on a PC, and all the recordings in „My Video“ appear I have bought a second hand HDR 1000S which needs a factory rest to allow me to access my local BBC channels. I also wish to reformat the disc to erase all the previous recordings. Unfortunately the PIN has been rest from teh default 0000. Is there an easy method to rest the pin to the factory default without trying the 9999 combinations? Other than the usual reply of switch off at the mains and then switch back on again which usually restores lost recordings I can’t think of anything else. Sorry but I don’t know if it’s a sign of a corrupt hard drive or not.

Sure enough, fx explorer has found my „lost“ recordings from before the crash and the files are playable through the app. But the problem is that in the aura recordings interface they still will not show. hi Not quite sure what’s happened to our HDR1000s but when watching something on iPlayer last week, it suddenly froze completely. Left it for a while and it seemed to reset itself. However, we were then stuck with 3 problems: 1) all of our recordings have gone 2) we cannot record anything (starting a record does nothing) 3) no on demand or showcase (as Earlier this evening we turned on to watch a recorded programme only to find that all recordings and planned recordings have disappeared. Did a check on the diagnostics and everything looks “ green”, and did a fast forward and fast reverse on a live program which seemed to work fine. My wife is pretty miffed at loosing the recordings and has suggested that we go

My normally faithful PVR seems to have lost all the recordings. They’re still showing as being there on the ‚Recorded Programme‘ screen but they won’t play and the little pre-view screen’s black/blank.

My Fvp4000t has lost all its recordings today apart from 3. (Rather gutting as there were 150+ on there including full series I hadn’t yet watched) Also it won’t let me pause or rewind. It comes up saying “this function does not work while retrieving data for time shift buffer. Try again in a few seconds” Just noticed also not recording but shows as recording on guide. Since today. the Aura intermittently has audio drop outs whilst playing any recording. Going back say 30 seconds and then the all the audio is back. However, later in the recording the audio drops out again. So replaying the last 30 seconds and the audio is okay again. It is not channel related. Anyone else experiencing this?

While faffing around with plugs, realised all planned recordings disappeared, does this mean when electricity goes off have to reset recordings? Also have had issues with series linking not working and what it flashes at top of TV screen when recording and what actually IS recording very rarely agree. A few days ago I sent more requests via the Freesat app for recordings and when I tried to send another request today I got the message that the previous recordings had failed. So I investigated by powering on the box from standby and I found that all my recordings have been deleted (the planned recordings are still there)!

Having 2 weeks ago solved my wife’s Arris box, I now find that the Freesat Humax box (a HDR-1100S 500Gb) attached to my TV has a similar problem I have lost all my recordings, albeit I can continue recording.

Through all the random reboots, freezes requiring a power cycle and factory resets I have never had it lose all my recordings in fact not a single recording that I can remember. HI, Hope someone can help, have a Humax 1000s which has just lost all recordings. I have tried the following: 1). Factory reboot loads of times, 2). Deleted my app on phone and TV and still no luck. 3). Put an Sata disk from an old sky box in and still nothing, it says only 1% disk spaced used. It wont pause or record live tv, but the strange thing is that if I go How can I ensure that when I do a factory reset I will not loose all my recordings. I have, for my sins, two Auras and I did a factory reset on one and lost all of my recordings. Help!

RSS link for this tag.Add New Topic You must log in to post. My HDR-1000s suddenly lost all recordings and ability to record/pause TV in mid October. That situation remained the same for around 4 weeks until suddenly last week, all recordings reappeared as did the record/pause capability. We have had an HDR-2000T for just short of a year and have never lost recordings and the older but similar HDR-FOX T2 for approaching four years and that has never lost recordings. There are a few reports of similar problems but they are not wide spread. You may have a hard drive with a minor fault so you might consider getting the box exchanged.

Thanks folks. Powering off didn’t work but the factory reset did. Now to reset all my scheduled recordings, favourite channels, etc Next time, I think I’ll look at Manhattan! S tip photograph your recording schedule with a digital camera/phone. It is then very quick to re-enter your recording schedule. The manhattan can only record
