Just Reaction Time? :: Sekiro™: Shadows Die Twice General Discussions

Di: Ava

I’m about 10 hours in, just beat Lady Butterfly, I ‚get‘ the combat, unsure if I am enjoying myself. Beating the bosses here does not feel anywhere near as rewarding as other games from the same developer, it feels like I just beat a boss/miniboss, okay, let’s move onto the next one, oh here’s the next boss/miniboss. Rinse, repeat. Combat with some of the enemies requires fast reaction times as well as memory and observation, as well as using a variety of different techniques and manoeuvres. Then he tends to do what seems to be a longer „round house“ swing of the sword. This, totally will mess up your reaction. You will most likely react a little to quick. As a result, you will mis-time your perfect parry. This of course will cause chip

Sudden slowdown? :: Sekiro™: Shadows Die Twice General Discussions

Out of all Fromsoft games, this is the one that requires a ton of skill, you can’t just cheese your way out of fights. And good lord, as simple as the combat is i suck at this, i don’t know if i’ll 100% it but i can’t just leave it there. And i gotta admit, i was close to just give up and leave the game there in my library, just now i took time to practice a bit with Hanbei in the

SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE | 隻狼 - WEB MANUAL

I gave it a fair, open minded shot. It just stinks. Targeting system randomly jumps around, even when you turn all the settings off for it. Grappling randomly shoots you to ledges or trees instead of boss mechanics. One shot mechanics that are practically unavoidable. Your damage is ridiculously low, your health is also ridiculously low, potions heal for almost nothing.

Can someone explain to me why I can try to parry two of the EXACT same attacks, and one time it works, and the other time it doesn’t?

I’ve recently gotten back into playing Sekiro and now the game is loading super slow and the performance is terribly bad and uneven. My system specs are more than enough and ran the game perfectly fine when the game came out. I tried reinstalling the game and verifying the game cache but it is not helping. Does anyone know the cause of this and if so,

So the thought that Sekiro could be even worse turned me off from the game completely. But man, this game turned out

it doesn’t. if you know the enemy and his movement/attack patterns you deflect just before you get hit. feels the same in any DS and in sekiro. in sekiro you can even block all the time to reduce posture dmg and just deflect out of block by timing your button press. many players just spam because they don’t know the attack pattern and by doing this, make things worse. I’ve beaten Demon’s Soul, Dark Souls 1 and 2; why am I having such a hard time with this? My reaction time is all wrong, I can barely navigate the world coherently with this spider man mechanic, and I’m stuck on the equivalent of Gundyr. What do I need to unlearn? I feel like none of my Souls knowledge is helping me. No, just that the benefit shouldn’t be overly exaggerated and it doesn’t really apply significantly to a game like Sekiro (assuming there are no physics related influences caused by poor programming tied to FPS, *cough* Dark Souls).

No, don’t compare with DS games. In Sekiro, dodging will not get you out of trouble everytime. First of all, have you got the firecracker prosthetic tool? Each time using it will stun the General long enough for you to put in 3 to 5 hits depending on your reaction and position. Also, you need the grappling skill so that when you see a green circle above his head, you can I just started Sekiro today and i must say i’m in love. I can’t for the life of me parry successfully most times but in this game, being „late“ to parry works for me.

First time, blind. It’s weird but I struggle on the bosses people say are easy and beat the bosses first try people say are hard XD Did anyone else find this guy easy? How is this still an issue and hasn’t been updated? I have tried every single fix and more and still nothing. It says I have almost 2 hours in this game but 95% of my play time haven’t been in the actual game, just the black screen that I get when I start it up. I just want to play.

I’m on the verge of giving up with this guy and this game in general since I can’t get much further without beating him! I’ve only got him to his transformation stage 2 times, it’s so hard it’s just not worth all this pain! It’s taking so damn long I won’t actually be happy when I beat him, I’ll be too exhausted and I’ll need to take something for the headache I’ll definitely have. On phase 2, what are you supposed to do when he jumps high in the air and just falls on you from above? Not the belly flop attack, but the other one. This attack just kills me every damn time. Do you just kinda run from it? Also camera behaviour doesn’t help at Eat something or cook a meal, etc.. Or even stop playing Sekiro for the day. Only go back to Sekiro when you are chill, cool and calm. You see, when you are frustrated, panicking, your reaction time will be severely affected. And most of the time, it will also affect your decision making. Sekiro is all about perfect parrying/deflection.

I get it look at the animation but many times you cant react fast enough and in certain situations like the phase 3 of the ashina castle boss its just obnoxious. The second new move in his first phase is just a variation on a move he already has, just as a faster counter so it ups the required reaction speed. I do like that he can now cancel his attack after sheathing his sword, forces you to pay more attention in this otherwise incredibly predictable phase.

After initially reading the OP, I was sure this was a troll post. Sekiro has the most responsive and powerful parry mechanic in any souls-like game. You literally just hit the button and you’re parrying. No weird wind-ups or delayed animations. Parry right as the enemy hits you and you’ll get it right every time. I can understand people saying Sekiro isn’t as fun as Elden hi so i have this problem with my ps4 controller that when i click button too fast/not long enough they dont register sometimes , i think it is related to the number of frame the button is pressed , or the buttons are pressed in between frames . when windows start i stop ds4 entirely , i click stop , then i close ds4 , i start big screen to have the controller working ingame , also i I had just finished playing through Lies of P last week and decided to pick Sekiro up again. It’s crazy how much better this game feels in terms of the parry system. I’m 1 shotting bosses that took me forever a couple years ago. Lies of P’s system was so bad that i just completely bypassed it by running a Technique build with the Bone Cutting saw blade +

So, i just did the kite puzzle, talked to the black hat badger. Going through the cave, at the end of it, theres a really suspicious plank there, and the camera pans out, as if i was supposed to jump. Is there even any way to do that jump? Cause i tried many, many times and there doesn’t seem to have anywhere to grapple around, so all that happens is me falling over

Can you treat slash perilous attacks as thrust ones or are they like sweep attacks that have to be dodged? Also what about perilous kicks/punches? Where? Why? I will defend you here. I simply want to know what boss or foible in the game caused you to stop playing. In fact, if you stopped playing and are reading this, you’re the target of my question. If you stopped and picked it back up, I also want to know what caused you to quit, as well as what brought you back in. Don’t be ashamed. The level of cognitive
