Wii is PPC based so GLideN64 would have to be Endian agnostic to work correctly. Tbh, I think this a task best suited for the Wii64/Not64 guys to consider. The best game in the trilogy, in my opinion, is Gex: Enter the Gecko, originally released for the PS1 in 1998. It would make its way to the N64 a year later. Unlike its predecessor, Enter the Gecko is a full-fledged 3D platformer inspired by Super Mario 64, although I wouldn’t call it a complete collectathon like the N64 juggernaut. I own this game on my Nintendo 64, and I was wondering weather or not the PC port of the classic is any different (gameplay and feature wise) than its original Console release.

N64 on Wii VC works with both GC and classic controllers. The emulation is of excellent quality given the modest power of the Wii. No doubt there are hacks behind the scenes to make the games work but you won’t really notice. The only downside to the Wii VC is the paltry 20-ish games, there were over 300 games for the entire N64. Wave Race 64 is a classic. It was my first game I got when my sister and I got an N64. I remember being thrilled with the water effects, the physics of the rider leaning forward and backward, the tight controls, and of course the cool ass soundtrack. It blew my mind as a kid. Gameplay wise most N64 games aged badly, sub 30 FPS in many games sometimes dipping as low as 15 FPS. But the games with little slowdown like F-Zero X or Smash 64 I’d say get a pass in the gameplay department even Super Mario 64. Is the N64 region free? N64 Games go in the roms folder in .n64 or .z64 formats! You can use wiimote/chuck, classic controller, wii pro controller and gamecube controller for the emulator!
