Is It Better To Have Garchomp With Earthquake Or Outrage?

Naive / Jolly Nature – Earthquake – Outrage – Stone Edge / Dragon Claw – Fire Blast / Fire Fang / Poison Jab / Stealth Rock A Choice Scarf set that Garchomp can use on Sandless Ground-type teams. Earthquake and Outrage are must-have moves on this set, as they are powerful STAB moves. The 3rd and 4th moveslots are rather flexible. I selected these moves because glaive rush is a very strong move and one of the reasons you even use this thing, ice shard is nice stab priority that will ohko garchomp, earthquake covers steels that would otherwise wall you, as well and dealing with indeedee armarouge teams, and finally protect because the option is nice and the coverage is already great. The only issues If you’re a Pokémon trainer who’s looking to add some serious power to your team, there are few better choices than Garchomp. This dragon and ground-type Pokémon is known for its incredible speed and strength, making it a favorite among competitive players. And if you want to take your Garchomp to the next level, one Read More »What Level Does

Garchomp additionally performs well on beatdown teams featuring Dragonite, as Garchomp can freely attack with Earthquake without damaging it. – Amoonguss and Vivillon provide redirection and sleep support; Amoonguss is bulkier and has a more consistent way of putting foes to sleep, while Vivillon is faster and is immune to Garchomp’s
Earthquake and Outrage act as Garchomp’s two main STAB attacks, with Earthquake giving Garchomp the ability to deal with Heatran and Aegislash, while Outrage rounds off the coverage, hitting the Flying-types and Levitate users that are immune to Earthquake. I used to ran Earthquake on Garchomp, but I changed it quickly after I noticed that it loses to Metagross when it’s being safe switched in the 2 shield scenario. If a Metagross switches in and has gained at least 21 energy from 3 Bullet Punches, Garchomp won’t win in the 2 shield scenario, even if you go full Outrage.
What attacks should Garchomp have?
This is a strategy guide for using Garchomp in competitive play for the games Pokemon Sword and Shield. Read on for tips on the best Nature, EV spreads, Movesets, and Held Items to use with Garchomp, as well as its strengths and weak points.
Mudshot Outrage Earthquake is the typical set. However, there’s definitely good arguments for sand tomb in place of one of those moves and even some for dragontail over mudshot. Ultimately it comes down to how you want to use your garchomp as you really can’t go wrong. Fireblast is the only move that doesn’t seem to have a good use though. Tips for Using Garchomp’s Attacks When using Garchomp’s attacks, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, make sure to use Dragon Tail and Outrage when possible, as they are the most powerful attacks in Garchomp’s moveset. Second, use Earthquake and Stone Edge when the opponent is weak to ground-type attacks. The main change is that Shadow Mamoswine gets better, as it no longer suffers much from the typing disadvantage (aside from Heatran raids). Now its ASE ties Earthquake Shadow Garchomp, and TTW ties Earth Power Shadow Garchomp. If it wasn’t for Heatran and Mega Manectric with fire/steel moves, it would have been even better!
Okay look of course garchomp is good, but why is it so good. Of course I u deter and 130 attack is quite great, and 102 speed is also very good, but it doesn’t seem as fantastic now as it would four generations ago. I see how scale shot would help it this gen, but is 130 atta k really that special nowadays? And 102 speed, I mean that isn’t really anything crazy. It’s got good bulk and it

Earth Power is an amazing move and really lets Garchomp and will let Mega Garchomp shine. Outrage makes it a B-tier to Rayquaza and eventually Mega Rayquaza. If you want Outrage over Earth Power, I’d teach it a second move. I have Earth Power on my Garchomp, and use it all the time. The move is killer. If you’re a gutsy player, you can forgo protect and use Swords Dance instead. +2 Garchomp behind a Sub is no joke.. The best partners for Garchomp here are Outrage, if what I’ve heard is true, ends after hitting a fairy. So if you dragon claw, and they switch, you waste a turn, same as outrage. You could argue that outrage makes prediction easier/non-existant for the foe, but I’d argue that any decent player could determine whether you planned on using dragon claw or EQ/stone edge etc.

Nukes only Garchomp catches a LOT of players off guard. The amount of 2-shield Metagrosses that I one-shot expecting sand tomb is hilarious. If you manage to get shields down and farm energy, you nuke the world. Just make sure you have a Togekiss answer.
What should be the best moveset for my Garchomp?
Two most common move sets for garchomp in ML is mud shot + outrage/earth power or dragon tail + outrage/sand tomb. Pvpoke has dt+o/st as the preferred moves on shadow garchomp and ms+o/ep on normal garchomp but both move sets seem like they would work well. Just note that they fill different roles though. Ms+o/ep is better with shields down and so works well as a
My team has been garchomp, salamence and magnezone so far and has been doing good in normal singles. I haven’t got to masters class yet but am close..All my team has best iv except for the one that doesn’t matter (attack on magnezone, special attack on garchomp and mence). Garchomp I have jolly nature and typical max attack max speed. Bulldoze (too poor for Even play style wise I prefer garchomp over dragonite but atleast dragonite has some mobility with dragon dance plus his outrage move has lower chances of being cancelled unlike earthquake which got cancelled multiple times for me. – Good physical movepool, with a spammable Dragon STAB as a signature move in Glaive Rush, which is strong as Outrage but doesn’t lock Baxcalibur in. Granted, it has a drawback with leaving Baxcalibur more vulnerable to attacks afterwards, but that is a better exchange than what happens with Outrage.
Both also have a „permanent“ mega boost that elevate themselves above and beyond in group raids, while Mega Garchomp doesn’t. On most occasions when you can use a Mega Garchomp, the „Mega“ legendaries are way better. There may be one exception: Dialga raids, where Mega Garchomp uniquely serves as both a raid attacker and candy (XL No, Garchomp has better moves to be using. For all Dragon Rush is worth, it’s better to use Outrage instead since it’ll last at least 2 moves, has a higher base power, and 100% accuracy. If you want a move that doesn’t confuse it, go for Dragon Claw. 100% accuracy and 80 base power is decent.
Earth Power is a solid boon for Garchomp in both Raids and PvP. In Raids, Earth Power Garchomp is arguably the greatest non-Mega Ground-type attacker. In Summary: Outrage provides high power and strong STAB, with the Persim Berry curing confusion after using it. Earthquake and Stone Edge offer great coverage. Swords Dance enhances Garchomp’s Attack to maximize damage output. This set ensures that Garchomp can effectively use Outrage while managing the confusion effect with the
Earthquake is STAB and one of the best Ground moves. Stone Edge for high power. Outrage because here we have a Dragon-type pseudo If you have a good competitive moveset for Garchomp, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread. Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some detail, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of Well once again we have some differences between moves, but in this case, it’s actually Outrage that shows better than Earthquake. Quake still uniquely takes out G-Fisk and fellow Steels Empoleon and Cobalion, but Outrage instead overpowers Scrafty, Shadow Snorlax, Mandibuzz (again), Gliscor, and even Scizor. (Earthquake is just too slow.)
I’m preparing for some upcoming Heatran raids and I’m curious about the best moveset for my Garchomp. Specifically, should I go for Ground-type moves like Mud Shot and Earth Power, or stick with Dragon-type moves such as Dragon Tail and Outrage? I’ve seen that there’s not much difference in damage output between Earth Power and Earthquake, so I’m PVE Offensive Moves Explanation Dragon Tail should be paired with Outrage for the flagship Dragon-type moveset. Mud Shot is recommended if Garchomp is to be used as a Ground-type attacker. Earth Power* is better than Earthquake for PvE offense, but is more limited in accessibility. Fire Blast and Sand Tomb have no offensive relevance.
Garchomp’s great Attack and Speed stats are augmented by powerful STAB moves, such as Outrage and Earthquake, that allow it to hit the majority of the tier for major damage with its STAB moves alone. Earthquake, Outrage (or Dragon Claw) and Stone Edg e are all pretty much givens and most good teams have defensive Pokémon to handle those moves. Once again, Skarmory and Bronzong are good options due to their varied resistances. Generally, Garchomp is very much a ‚kill or be killed‘ Pokémon, and that’s why it received so much hype.
