Im a relaxed player who likes to play on master mode and its really hard to stop the spread of the evil biomes so im looking for any mods that can fix that And its great in pre-hardmode, but in hardmode all your hard work gets ruined. First when you enter hardmode hollow and crimson/corruption appears in a form of a giant V all across your world. So when you enter hardmode there is a very high chance that a village of yours that you built is ruined. Corruption/Crimson pretty much only spreads though corrupt/crimson grass in pre-hardmode. put a few clay blocks down or two sunflowers or something and it will stop it. but usually it can’t spread much from where it initially is anyway, since there are usually other things that blocks the spreading, such as stone blocks.

Hellevators once every 120 blocks, as later in game you can obtain a thingie, 60 blocks range, that will allow you to cleanse your world. The evil biomes and the hallow will still spread but will be contained by those hellevators and you can purity them quite easily, after.

Corruption, Crimson and Hallow will spread to stone, sand, ice and grass that are up to three tiles away. Almost all other blocks are immune to Corruption and Hallow, including Wood, Clay Blocks, Ash Blocks, Silt Blocks, Obsidian, Ores, Gems, and all bricks.
I’m actually most concerned about pre-hardmode corruption/crimson spread, since I have plenty of time to control when Hardmode initiates, but the Crimson is there right now. In pre-Hardmode, players can use Purification Powder to purify small portions of the Corruption/Crimson, and Sunflowers to block spread of infected grass. However, it is not until Hardmode that the spreading biomes become a major issue.

Hard Mode is an aptly named world-specific mode that is unlocked by defeating the Wall of Flesh. The Corruption or The Crimson spread more rapidly in Hard Mode (at least until Plantera is defeated), and a new biome known as The Hallow is created. New monsters, bosses, and items are available in Hard Mode as well. This mode cannot be turned off – defeating the Wall of You can fish for extra potions. P.S. if on journey mode you can disable infection spread, but I don’t reccomend it. P.S.2 defeating plantrea will slow spread down a lot, but don’t rush that it’s not fun (my opinion). So I was in my world just containing the crimson and when I was thinking you know is it worth containing cause I have had about 4 play through a including this one and I stopped playing in hard mode cause my base got taken over by crimson or hallow.
