Is Compatibility With The Steam Deck Satisfactory? Answered

How’s this game on steam deck? I’ve put easily a thousand hours on PC but haven’t touched my PC since getting a steam deck and wanna scratch an itch I’ve had for awhile.

The game would need full controller support (which we don’t have at this time) and support to run the full default resolution of the steam deck to meet the verification requirements and we don’t know if we will have time to finish this before the release of the steam deck along with everything else we’re currently working on.

I tried running VR on the Steam Deck, here’s what I found out

The Satisfactory devs said recently that they might add controller support for the 1.0 release but it’s not a big priority for them. Also, they designed satisfactory for a minimum resolution that is higher than the Deck so it’s difficult to read text. I tried this game over a year ago on the Deck and just found the control scheme incredibly awkward and unintuitive, so I figured I’d wait for controller support. It seems they never added it, but is the game at least an improved experience with the steam deck yet? Not sure if I should dive in for a new save or not.

So, probably like many others, I have a preorder steam deck due sometime (allegedly) in Q3. Just wondering if anyone lucky enough to have one plays Satisfactory and, if so, how it plays on the steam deck? I see its advertised as playable, but not verified. Which generally means playable but have to tweak controls and settings to get it to work. Until the Satisfactory Game gets (if ever) full Console / Controller Support you won’t be able to use Game Mods on a Steam Deck. If the OP thinks the Steam Deck should allow Game Mods then perhaps the OP should post this „suggestion“ on the Satisfactory Game Modding Discord.
