Di: Ava

Even an AC15 that sounds very similar to an AC30 won’t give you exactly the same sound as an AC30. And what about modelling? Sure, it may give you a decent sound at So I want to get an AC15 – I’m pretty set on a Vox style amp. However I have a couple questions greenback or blueback? I’m unsure how much ‘better’ the Alnico blue is, and whether it’s a AC30 is a lot of amp if you aren’t playing clubs. If you are set on tubes, look into single ended amps like the ac4 or whatever vox is currently marketing. You’ll be able to actually turn up

I own the Vox AC15. It is definitely loud enough to jam with a drummer. From my understanding the AC30 and the AC15 are similar tone wise. I’m looking at getting a new amp. Right now I’m leaning towards a Vox and wondering what the differences are in the AC15 and AC30 sound. Is it just louder and more So putting your AC15 through a Wizard will make it a bit louder (2dB) than an AC30 through a Greenback. Or nearly twice as loud (5 dB) as your AC15 was through the Played the AC15 yesterday – loved the sounds! I’ve had both the AC15 and AC30 custom classics in the past. The AC15 was just cheap sounding (and build wise) and I can’t

I figure the answer is of course the AC30 is better, but how much better would you say overall. I was thinking a dual amp setup with a TT and an AC15 might be cool. Also, the Given the option, I’d use a dimed Vox AC30 or AC15 Top Boost for 90 percent of my distortion needs. But alas, my band plays in your average corner bar, not arenas. So, what

Can’t Decide Between Roland JC-40 And Vox AC15, Need Advice So to condense this, basically, the record I’m working on now, I want to have the same tone as The Cure’s „17 Seconds,“

So as an update, I eventually got an AC10c1 but upgraded with a Celestion Greenback G10 and JJ tubes. The AC15 was just a bit too heavy and cumbersome to move The downside of going for the 15 over the 30 is that the 15 doesn’t have a FX loop for some reason. I never understood why companies make amplifiers and associate less power with less

Oh my, I’ve already replied once but I totally forgot about tophat amps. They make the best ac amp. Not sure how I could forget about them. Especially if you’re after ac15 instead of ac30. Id Difference Between The Vox Speakers: Greenbacks VS Bluebacks So, what’s the difference between the speakers in an AC30 or AC15? Are Bluebacks better than Greenbacks Has anyone tried either. Been thinking of selling my 57 twin reissue and grabbing an ac15 or possibly and ac30. I kind of like the bottom end on the ac30 more but weight not so

The AC15 won’t truly sound like the TB channel of the AC30, it’s definitely it’s own creature. I personally prefer the AC30 due to the tone, not due to the volume, but you really are

Reviews and difference on their performance, FX loop, Specification, weight, etc. If you want the AC30, get the head and cab or the 1×12 combo because the 2×12 is heavy to haul around. The volume difference between the AC15 and AC30 1x12s is 3 dB which is negligible. This might be a „which is heavier a pound of brick or a pound of feathers“ sort of question, but I’m wondering what would be the difference between running an AC30 2×12 vs. 2

Im debating between buying one of any of these brands. What are your opinions on them? Jim, I have an odd feeling I know exactly what youre going to say. The Vox AC15 is a classic low-powered valve amp with a pure British voice, projecting chiming cleans & barking overdrive! Shop the AC15 range at Andertons. The AC30 gets used when I have back line gigs because backline companies don’t stock AC15’s. AC30’s are nice but I can never drive them enough without annoying everyone I currently have a deluxe reverb and an AC30, so I understand that OD pedals sound different between them. That said, the Timmy, Rat and Hot Cake all sound fantastic with

Hello Do Ac30 and Ac15 amps take pedals well? Are the newest series of them any good? How about the off shoots, like the differen handwired, etc. If I am going to buy a Vox
