My download speeds are hugely limited by uTorrent’s „Disk overloaded“ detection, which almost always claims disk overload, usually 100%. Is there some way to switch off or fix this detection? It’s completely wrong: there’s virtually no disk activity as measured by both Task Manager and Process Ha Disk overload in Utorrent only with large torrents, need help. So I’m trying to download a torrent that has several hundred files and the total size over the torrent is over 400gb, when I start it within minutes I get the disk overload 100% message.

I’m using µTorrent 3.0 (build 25756) 32-bit on Windows 7 (x64) and since the last recent update, µTorrent keeps showing Disk Overloaded 100% and the download speeds have become very very slow. Please help us out with this. I just moved back to 2.2.1 from 3 something, and all the problems I was having with 3 (utorrent taking nearly 2gb of memory with large torrents, and 100% disk overload messages) 2.2.1 resolved everything. Stay at 2.2.1, since the newer version doesn’t add anything of need.

Hi i have been using utorrent since it came out and I have recently been seeing disk overloaded and a percentage next to the dht thing.I have recently upgraded my internet connection, Is it too fast for my hard drives to write to? I have just normal sata 2 ones with no raid or anything fancy. When I download even one torrent at a speed of 90 KB (I used to download several torrents at about 4MB) when the first few pieces get completed, they aren’t written away to the disk. So they just sit there for example at 256 blocks (when it’s a 4mb piece) and if I don’t stop the download, I get a disk overload.

hi I still have the same problem even so I have changed some things in utorrent and the disk cache overload message does not stop coming out pre allocated all file is ok X Override automatic cache size is 1024 diskio.use_partfile false any suggestion, the pc is a hp last generation premium with 1 µTorrent Web helps you download torrents inside your browser, while µTorrent Classic is the original torrent client for bulk downloads. The reason why coalesce_reads and coalesce_writes don’t do anything is because currently those options are only available for system that don’t have preadv () and pwritev () (which I pretend windows does).
