Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi – The Clean Cut (Regular, Purist, and Re-edit) by ForceGhostRecon Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi – The IC Fanedit I would still make some additional cuts around the end, I think it would be fairly doable to avoid making anakin explicitly become Darth Vader (cut naming, leave him dying on mustafar, don’t show the suit building, cut some of the birth stuff) and avoid the machete order problem (Even if it might be assumed that is who he became).

So I’m taking another crack at the Prequels, but I’m starting with AOTC, the biggest problem with the trilogy. Once I get that working, I can build up to it with TPM, and off of it with ROTS. The main conflict throughout the prequel trilogy – the „damn fool idealistic crusade“ Anakin left Tatooine with Obi-Wan for – is the Clone War/s. Perhaps it’s referred to as both „War“ and „Wars“ because there were periods of ceasefire, like the Napoleonic Wars. I actually agree with this, but technically, the clone wars could be ignored. Having satiated my restlessness with the Star Wars prequels, I wanted to put together a custom ‚Special Edition‘ of the original trilogy to place on my shelf alongside the original, theatrical versions (currently represented by Harmy’s Despecialized Editions). A couple of the changes from the New Canon Cut are added, like Anakin fearing for the lives of his entire family instead of just Padme. There are a billion fan edits of the various Star Wars films, and no way am I going to watch them all to find the best one (s). Can you folks recommend your favorite versions of the prequels? One thing that is very important to me, as a professional video editor, is the quality of the edits themselves;no jump cuts, no sudden music changes, etc. Thanks!

Star Wars is among the most fan-edited franchises there is. There are several good reasons for this: with a fanbase that big and obsessive, you’re going to have a few people with the technical knowhow and bags full of ideas, and Star Wars is ripe

Theme, narrative and continuity. I’ve done my best to describe which scenes and parts of the prequel trilogy I kept to serve the narrative I chose to focus on and the theme at play. Do you feel I missed some key scenes from the PT which would’ve strengthened that narrative? Were superfluous scenes included? The first fanedit in the L8wrtr Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, Shadow of the Sith both radically improves The Phantom Manace as well as sets the tone for the entire re-edited prequel universe.
