Hi, I’m gradually moving to all Ethernet for my Sky Q 2TB and 4 Mini boxes (router is BT Home Hub 2). Currently I have a mix of Ethernet via a switch to main box and either 200MBs Powerlines or Ethernet cable from BT Complete Wifi Disc Extender for the minis. Dont want to jinx it but so far so good! I have a strange setup at home, I have my main box in one house and then my sky Q mini box in a bungalow in garden. The distance between the two is too far to set up using the connection button and I have my broadband through BT. i cannot get the minibox to connect via wifi even though I’ve got a network cable that links both houses so i have full strength wifi

SKY Q 2TB Box Going Black Even When in Standby

Hello, I’m having the same issue. It’s only happens after I’ve been watching channels in UHD EG sky sports . The TV I am using is a Samsung Model number is: QE55QN85DBTXXU Software version: T-PTMDDEUC-1301.0 last time it happened was around 11am this morning. It’s the main Sky Q 2TB box. Connected by new high gold plated quality Im thinking to get multiroom, but put off by the thought of cables through the house. Is this the case, or are the boxes just wifi connected? Also im guessing i wont be able to use the magic eye any more, so will need to replace that with a box too? My Sky Contract ends soon so I’ll need to return the Q box once I’ve received the packaging. I no longer have the Sky hdmi cable, it went wrong and we used one of our own. Is it OK to send everything else without this or will they notice there is no hdmi and charge me?

Hi, I have up to 900mb full fibre with BT and a sky Q 2TB main box and 2 satellite boxes. Finally got round to hard wiring ethernet to the TV location. Needed to install a gigabit switch, no problem. Now, the switch says that my 2TB box is only connected at 100mb and not at 1000mb. The switch say I want to see a list of the different channels, features and costs of a 1TB Q box, a 2TB Q box, and their 4K versions, but I can’t find that anywhere on the Sky website. ANy suggestions?
