An Mmo Like Guild Wars 1 — Mmorpg.Com Forums

I’ve had the right-click bug with my Logitech g600 for a while now and it’s getting to the point that I don’t want to deal with it anymore. I want a new mouse that is confirmed not to have this problem and that is both affordable and will i always preferred Guild Wars 1 over Guild Wars 2, mainly because i enjoy the slower-paced tactical style combat. Guild Wars 2 is incredibly twitchy and action-oriented (its a action MMO), it was such a jarring move for them to change their format, IMO.

Can you suggest game which has a fun ranger class?

Let me ask something, do you think it was a good move that GW1 created GW2 and they focused 100% on the newer game? Now GW2, whats a good lifespan of a MMORPG? SO that a new version of it comes out?

I know EverQuest offers them as ‚Mercenaries‘, and Henchmen are in Guild Wars. What other games (specifically the classic MMO game model) do you know provides this feature? Not looking to play these games, just wondering how many out there have turned to this as help for falling populations and how many just thought it was a good idea. For the record, I don’t mean pet I like Guild Wars because it’s fairly unique, the same goes for WoW graphics and the same again for Dofus if you’ve ever heard of it. Another game i really liked was Cabal because of how much detail went into the skill animations, sure it was your generic eastern grinder but i’ll be damned if every skill you used didn’t look spectacular. Why this game lack large market appeal as games like wow or ffxiv?

Okay over the years ive figured out the ideal objectives developers should consider in making an amazing game. (this is long but will make one of the best mmo’s) 1.) Questing- Take a guild wars approach not just the go over to the woods and dominate, do a diverse approach, Solving puzzles, riddles, almost like minigames but Quests with rewards, harder quests better released: Tera, Age of Conan, Rift, EVE soon: Guild Wars 2, Arche Age, Blade and Soul, Secret World Why even mention FF14? Ok, player models look good, but appart from that its really nothing special. Most of the terrain looks horrible and the gfx engine itself is or was a disaster. In the open beta of FF14 I had less FPS than in Crysis fe. Hello peeps of MMORPG.com, So, I’m basically thinking about starting up in a new MMO. My gaming history, in short, is WoW for 5 years, Lineage 2 for 3 years, League of Legends for 4 years, Guild Wars I for 2 years. Those games are my most played games, by far. Something more about myself: I generally prefer PvP over PvE, I’m not of a PvE person. So,

I just got an MMO mouse the other day, and I’m currently redoing all my keybinds. It is HELL right now haha.I’m wondering, to the people who’ve tried it both ways, do you find it easier to keep your instant casts on your keyboard (now that space has been freed up), or have them on your mouse (alo This didn’t feel like an MMO. This felt like a terrible version of Skryim with MMO elements hacked on. I hated Morrowind and Oblivion, and only slightly tolerated Skyrim. Is Guild Wars 2 more like a real, 3rd person, MMO? With a world to explore, mobs to grind, cool abilities, etc? Because honestly, right off the bat, combat looks

I like how class spells look, and Guild Wars 2 has a lot of unique mechanics you don’t see on other games. Their take on class fantasies is also very interesting and each class has a strong identity. Moment to Moment Gameplay and Open World I honestly struggle to think of an open world experience that is as engaging as Guild Wars 2’s. Dungeons and Dragons online felt a bit like guild Wars 1 because of the instanced areas and difficultys there – its not open world -, but I dont like there that many dungeons are about riddles.

Now, how about a team vs team or Guild vs Guild mmorpg games. ^_^ what do you think? Can you name some games where you experienced good and quality Guild vs Guild games? ^_^ If you want fair competition based GvG, try Guild Wars. Unless you want open world PVP, then you should look somewhere else. Despite being a turn-based RPG, Divinity: Original Sin II shares many elements with it: The free combination of skill trees allows even greater freedom than the primary/secondary combo in Guild Wars. What’s even better is that all combinations are viable. Skills can be combo:ed in very clever ways. Combat has a similar focus on cc:ing enemies. Damage and healing alone will get you Guild Wars is an online RPG, like diablo2, with mayby 8-64 players per server, which is hosted by the players in a peer2peer system. Its only the initial contact that is made thru Guild Wars servers, which generate very little traffic, and this is the reason they can make the game without a fee.

Why Is Guild Wars 1 the Forgotten MMORPG? : MMORPG (reddit.com) Guild Wars has always given me similar vibes to FF11, probably since they’re both MMO’s I started long past their heyday. Travelling alone with only NPC’s to help you (although that was always an option in Guild Wars) in a world that used to be full of players has a unique atmosphere of loneliness to it.

In DUST – and probably in all MMORPGs – there seems to be several hundered players who are in the top few clans or guilds. My best MMO experiences have all come from games like Star Wars Galaxies and Age of Conan where there is group/guild PvP, group/guild crafting, guild cities, roleplaying, etc.. When playing an MMO, it is far more rewarding when you are really involved with lots of people, instead of grinding solo all the time.

Guild Wars 2 is a game based on cooperative PvE, dynamic combat, and less linear gameplay than most MMOs provide. It’s almost like a cross between a sandbox and a themepark MMO. A themebox? A sandpark? At any rate, I’ve played many of them, but this is the best for my particular play style. Guild Wars® is an online roleplaying game that rewards player skill and innovative gameplay. It’s the original smash hit release from developer ArenaNet®, the beginnings of a franchise played by almost four million gamers worldwide. They want to play something like Guild Wars or Diablo where you have social hubs and instanced questing areas. At launch, Guild Wars 2 was advertised as an MMORPG you could play alongside other ones. It was very casual-friendly and sub-free. Since HoT, however, they introduced hardcore stuff. Now there’s ridiculous grind. Is Guild Wars 2 still a game you play with other games, or has it taken up most of y

I think Elder Scrolls Online is much better than Guild Wars 2. I’ve had huge difficulties staying with Guild Wars 2, even though it’s a very well made and very beautiful game. However, for me it was dull While I have huge criticisms for Elder Scrolls Online, as an MMORPG it’s pretty good. I’ll also throw out Lord of the Rings Online.

While I do like Guild Wars 2 very much, I think calling it ‚the best MMO‘ is highly debatable. Having played few other MMO games over the years I would like to provide a pros and cons list to visualize where the game is doing good, and where it might be lacking.

The best guild name I’ve ever seen was a guild in Guild Wars. They were called the Titanic Deckchair Attendants. If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP. So I think we can agree this continues to be an issue across many MMOs. Who did it right and why? (many claim DAOC and Guild Wars had great balance).
